FANTASTIC PICTURES!!!

THREE AWESOME PICTURES

Ok, so this one, believe it or not, is a painting. This is one out of the four paintings that I did for my HSC for visual arts. I made this 125x96cm canvas and used oil paint to create this massive work. This would have to be my most favourite piece of creative work that I have done because it not only looks good but also symbolically represents my hardwork and dedication. I first started to paint at the start of year 11 in 2009 and during the two years of hardwork, and this piece being my final artwork, has shown that the ability of everybody can achieve anything, representing myself and this painting as an example.

This is an architectural design by Ushida Findlay and Kathryn Findlay "Villa and Majlis, Doha, Quatar, 2000-04". I chose this architectural design because it presented, to me, a sense of comfortable closure, but also providing a sense of space and movement. I typically enjoy the geometrical circular shape. This almost reminds me of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games main stadium "The Birdnest". It is quite futuristic providing a lot of movement and a sense of a central harmonic source of energy.

Ok, so I have to do something original and beautiful and the only picture that I could find on my computer was this. This piece was taken in 2008 at Centennial Park. I took this picture because I was doing some early inspirational photography to help me with my Major Work for Visual Arts for the HSC. I came up with an idea that had a linkage with the Red Sea by literally painting the water red, during this period of time I had a mood of redness within me hence why I choosed red instead of black or yellow sea. But anyways, this harbour water looked nice and gentle bring harmony and a sense of relaxation under the sunsetting light.
